F1 | German GP, no guarantee for the future: new farewell in 2019?

An aura of doubt surrounds the future of German Grand Prix. The German event, which will return to the calendar in 2018Hockenheim after a year of fasting, it could once again distance itself from Formula 1 projects: Liberty Media's clear intent to attract new markets, added to the well-known economic problems that have compromised the constant presence of the Nurburgring race in the Circus, would in fact risk jeopardizing the future of the German GP.

George Seiler, CEO of the Hockenheimring, by means of MotorsportMagazin.com clarified the situation: “The contract ends in 2018. We met with the new owners and talked, because we have to complete the 2018 GP. It is known that there will be talks about the future soon, but serious discussions have not yet taken place. In the coming months the negotiations will have to take place correctly, but Unfortunately I cannot yet say whether things will continue in a positive way: I can only say that we will strive to keep Formula 1 in Germany, although there are many factors to consider. That remains we don't want to take economic risks and we won't. We will do our best, but we cannot guarantee anything.".
