Red Bull, Horner: “We had a completely different idea of Ferrari's veto…”
The Red Bull team principal disappointed by Ferrari
Chris Horner's words reveal a bit of bitterness when he talks about Ferrari's right of veto. The Red Bull team principal makes it clear that initially Red Bull looked favorably on the power granted to the Prancing Horse to block the FIA's decisions, before realizing that that power was not, however, used to protect the teams. A naturally biased thought, resulting from the difficult situation that Red Bull is experiencing, a team that would certainly have benefited from the Strategy Group's proposal to lower the costs of PU supply.
“When Ferrari's right of veto was confirmed we agreed because we hoped that it would help protect the teams - Horner explained – However, the reality is a little different from what we expected, because it seems that this right of veto has been interpreted in completely opposite ways”.
