I would also like to thank Sauber for their trust and also myself for the trust they had in me: I can't wait to join the Alfa Romeo Sauber team for next season" – said the 20-year-old from Monaco via the official website of the Swiss team. “This year it was a great experience to be able to take part in some FP1s and some tire tests with Sauber: the team immediately welcomed me. It's a great working environment, I already feel safe and comfortable here. In 2018 my goal will be to gain more experience in Formula 1 and to give the maximum contribution to the team".

The salary for the 2018 season of the young man coming from Ferrari Driver Academy it was announced yesterday, during the press conference held at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese in which the partnership between the Italian brand and Sauber was presented. Leclerc will share the garage with the confirmed Marcus Ericsson.
