We bring you the highlights of the qualifying session valid for the British Grand Prix, the tenth round of the 2022 Formula 1 world championship.
In a rainy Silverstone, Carlos Sainz took his first career pole position. The Ferrari driver preceded the Red Bull of Max Verstappen (protagonist of a spin) and the other Ferrari of Charles Leclerc who in his last available attempt lost the opportunity to win pole due to a spin.
Fourth position for the other Red Bull of Sergio Perez, ahead of Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes.
Lando Norris's McLaren is sixth ahead of the Alpine of Fernando Alonso and George Russell on Mercedes.
Concluding the TOP 10 are the Alfa Romeo of rookie Guanyu Zhou and the Williams of a surprising Nicholas Latifi.
