F1 | Red Bull, Horner: “We should be competitive in Monaco”
“We have to make sure we beat Mercedes, even if it will be difficult,” underlined the Milton Keynes TP
The next world championship event, which will take place on the city track of Monte Carlo, could smile on Red Bull. The Anglo-Austrian single-seater, on a highly loaded track like that of the Principality, will try to get the better of Mercedes to continue to keep the championship discussion alive in both the drivers' and constructors' championships.
"Sometimes the third sector in Spain is a good indicative vision of what the car could be like in Monaco – said Horner, quoted by GPFans – In Monaco we should be competitive. At every GP this year, except Bahrain, there has been less than a tenth of a second between us and pole position. So we're close. In Monaco we have to make sure we beat Mercedes, but we know it will be incredibly difficult".
