Interviewed by the British press, the McLaren representative outlined an initial assessment of the tests in Barcelona, ​​specifying how the "dominators" of the last championship will, in all likelihood, show their true potential in Sakhir, in the session that will take place in a week's time .

As regards the MCL36, however, the Englishman said he was quite satisfied with the behavior on the track, highlighting how the team collected all the data it was hoping for from the shakedown session.

“They are never that strong in testing and only show their potential in the first race,” said the McLaren Englishman. “If they are good in the pre-season it means that their level, when they debut, will be incredible. Everyone worked on their respective programs and with different quantities of fuel and maps."
