Formula 1 | Wolff and Hamilton's renewal: "We will address the topic over the winter"

In a chat given to the microphones of Beyond The Grid, the official podcast of Formula 1, Toto wolff spoke about the renewal negotiation between Mercedes e Lewis Hamilton, revealing how both parties are ready to discuss a possible extension of the agreement expiring at the end of the 2023 season.

Despite last year's difficulties, dictated by a W13 never really in line with expectations, Lewis and the Anglo-German team have great mutual respect, an aspect that will almost certainly lead the Englishman to "extend" his commitment to Brackley at least until 2025. Hamilton, we remember, joined Mercedes way back in 2012 and in these ten years he has managed to secure six world titles, 82 victories and 77 pole positions.

“We have a long list of things to do,” said the Austrian Mercedes manager. “Lewis' contract is certainly one of the topics we will have to address next winter, even if we don't have a precise deadline. There is trust and we are aware of the mutual importance of this agreement. Lewis is part of the team and the team is part of Lewis. There's no reason to stop this."
