F1 | Vowles: “Andretti-Cadillac? Open to anything that can help the development of Formula 1."
“The truth is that our sport needs to grow financially,” revealed the new Williams TP
In the press conference to greet Mercedes, held yesterday afternoon in Brackley in the company of Toto Wolff, James vowles spoke of the interest of the pairing Andretti-Cadillac towards Formula 1, highlighting how a possible entry starting from the 2025 season will be established based on the actual potential of this project, especially in a future perspective.
If the partnership led by Michael Andretti should bring real benefits to the Formula 1 system, both in economic and image terms, then the teams and Liberty Media will give their green light to the expression of interest. On the contrary, we will continue with the current structure, which includes 10 teams involved on the grid and a very specific distribution of proceeds.
“Andretti-Cadillac? We are always open to anything that can help the development of Formula 1,” said the new Williams TP. “The truth is that our sport needs to grow financially. Anyone who joins will have to bring with them added value and give the entire movement positive effects. This is a concept expressed clearly from the beginning. Returning to the topic of Andretti-Cadillac, I think that this combination can meet these requirements, but obviously all the necessary checks will be needed."
