Formula 1 | United States GP, the highlights of free practice on Friday in Austin [VIDEO]
Perez was the fastest in free practice on Friday in Austin
We bring you the highlights of the first two free practice sessions valid for the United States Grand Prix, the 17th round of the 2021 Formula 1 World Championship.
At the end of two hours of work at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Sergio Perez took the lead in the overall time classification, showing a pace and consistency of performance worthy of the top positions in the rankings. The Mexican stopped the clock at 1'34"946, two and a half tenths faster than Lando Norris' Mclaren, which was on the ball after the difficulties encountered in Turkey.
Third place for Lewis Hamilton, protagonist of a "disagreement" with Max Verstappen in the first minutes of FP2, followed by Valtteri Bottas, Daniel Ricciardo and Lance Stroll. Completing the top ten are Charles Leclerc, Max Verstappen, Carlos Sainz and an excellent Antonio Giovinazzi, who finished both yesterday's free practices in the top 10.
See you at 20.00pm on Sky Sport F1 HD for the third and final work session at the Circuit of the Americas before the official qualifying, which will start at 23.00pm Italian time.
