Formula 1 | GP Qatar, the highlights of free practice in Qatar [VIDEO]

We bring you the highlights of the first two free practice sessions valid for the Qatar Grand Prix, the third to last round of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. At the end of a complex day, especially due to the large amount of sand present on the track, Valtteri Bottas hoisted himself in command of the overall time classification, leaving behind a surprising Pierre Gasly, with a competitive AlphaTauri both in terms of flying lap and race pace, and Max Verstappen's Red Bull, slowed down in the afternoon by a problem, yet another, in the DRS system.

Fourth place for Lewis Hamilton, a few thousandths behind his rival for the championship, followed by Lando Norris, Lance Stroll, on the ball with a rediscovered Aston Martin, and Yuki Tsunoda. Sergio Perez, Sebastian Vettel and Carlos Sainz complete the top ten rankings. Further back is Charles Leclerc, only 13th.
