Q1. Carlos and Charles went on track with Soft tires obtaining 1'23"323 and 1'23"347 respectively, improving then to 1'22"649 and 1'23"120 but his lap was canceled due to exceeding the track limits in turn 16 of the preparation lap.

Three minutes from the end, both drivers return to the track and pass the round: Sainz is fourth in 1'22"304, while Leclerc is 13th in 1'22"742. Both cars enter Q2.

Q2. Carlos and Charles go on track with Medium tyres. The Spaniard achieved a time of 1'22”241, while Charles did not go beyond 1'23”119. Sainz returns to the track with a new set of Mediums, while Leclerc goes with the Softs. Only Charles improves but his 1'22”463 is not enough to pass the round: he is 13th. Carlos is tenth and will be one of the four riders able to start with the Mediums in tomorrow's race.

Q3. Sainz has two Soft trains to exploit. With the first he gets 1'21”840 and is sixth. With the second he doesn't improve and is overtaken by a rival. He will start seventh.
