Unknown reliability for Alpine at the end of the last Austrian Grand Prix, the 12th round of the 2022 Formula 1 world championship. During the world weekend at the Red Bull Ring, the French team was unable to make the most of the potential of the A522 due to continuous mechanical problems with the power unit "system", collecting less than deserved or initially expected. A condition that will have to push the team to work in view not only of the next "summer" rounds on the calendar, but also of the final part of this 2022 season.

This result, together with yesterday's in the Sprint race, allows the team to continue on its path, after having made some nice improvements to the car on recent occasions. Fermando also drove in an extraordinary way, leaving yesterday's disappointment behind him, moving from the bottom of the starting grid to a position in the points."

“We have had reliability problems that make us leave Austria not fully satisfied. We absolutely must focus on these problems and resolve them if we want to experience the second half of the season peacefully. We clearly have a fast car, but we also need to make sure that all operational aspects of the team are functioning at a high level, to continue to score good points with both cars,” he concluded.
