Fernando Alonso will face the Austrian Grand Prix scheduled for this afternoon with a brand new power unit.
Considering the "lump sum" for reliability in yesterday's Sprint and the consequent starting from last "place" in today's race, Alpine has chosen to "thaw" the fifth seasonal unit on the Iberian car, thus putting aside "components" for the remainder of the season.
An intelligent choice, similar to the one implemented by Ferrari in Canada with Charles Leclerc, which will help the two-time World Champion to optimize the rotation of its units in the coming months (reliability permitting). Appointment at 15.00pm on Sky Sport F1 HD for the green light at the Red Bull Ring.
