Formula 1 | Alonso: “New rules? Only two teams can win."

Fernando Alonso's digs at the world of Formula 1 and the spectacle offered by the various Grands Prix around the world continue.

Intercepted by the "columns" of the NOS website, the Spaniard outlined an initial assessment of the return of ground effect cars, highlighting how the balance on the track has remained almost unchanged compared to last year, leaving aside the reversal of roles between Ferrari and Mercedes. A disappointing condition, unexpected in some ways, which is transforming the Circus into a "boring and predictable" sport.

“Unfortunately Formula 1 is still very predictable and boring, given that everything revolves around Red Bull and Ferrari,” said the Spaniard from Alpine. “At the moment only Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz and Sergio Pérez can win races. It's nice to shine in some circumstances, but all opportunities for long-term success are tied to the budget cap. All teams must respect this parameter and it is up to me and Alpine to make this happen."
