F1 | Imola ready to open the Emilia Romagna GP to enthusiasts

Imola is ready to follow the scheme used by Mugello to open the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix to enthusiasts. According to what was declared by Stefano Bonaccini, president of the region that will host the two-day race on November 1st, the organizers are doing their utmost to open the event to spectators (there is talk of 10 thousand spectators per day), following what has been done with the MotoGP in Misano Adriatico.

“It seems to me that we have won the challenge of reopening the MotoGP to the public, thanks to the organizers and the mayor of Misano”, Bonaccini explained in a video conference. “Together we had bet on the idea of ​​organizing everything by telling the Italian Government that for one-off events we were able to guarantee safety for outdoor shows.

“It works, we have proven it and there is the possibility of reopening the doors to enthusiasts”, he continued. “We will try to do the same thing in Imola too, taking into account the trend of the epidemiological curve. When there is this sense of responsibility in such large outdoor spaces, then there is the possibility of opening the event to the public."
