Formula 1 | Corsini: “Imola stable presence on the calendar? We will talk about it again with Liberty Media"

In a chat given to “Rest of the Carlino“, the councilor for mobility and transport, infrastructure, tourism and commerce of Emilia Romagna Region, Andrea Corsini, revealed some background information related to the negotiation between Formula Imola e Liberty Medium for the inclusion of the "Santerno" within the 2021 calendar, revealing how the Italian racetrack, thanks to the splendid organization of the past season, has always had a "referential" channel with respect to the Portimao e Istanbul.

As for the future, however, Corsini he preferred not to indulge in facile proclamations, highlighting the permanent presence of Imola within the calendar will depend on the outcome of some discussions with Liberty Medium, which will be addressed in a second period.

"Jean Todt he couldn't do much because the organization of the calendar is a matter that falls exclusively to Liberty Medium, but from the beginning he made us understand that the slot would be assigned to us or to Portimao, despite the availability of some states such as the Turkey" said Corsini. “We made clear our willingness to hold the event again and we have had confidence ever since.”

On the presence of the public he instead stated: “In November we were unable to open the stands and therefore we hope to welcome them in April. Much will depend on the vaccination campaign and the holding of the first match. Regarding the future, however, Liberty he left the door open and we will talk about it again."
