F1 | Haas, another difficult Saturday in Losail for Schumacher and Mazepin

Another complicated Saturday for Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin on the Losail track, scene of the next Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix.

The German, despite yesterday's good sensations, was unable to compete with Williams and Alfa Romeo, an aspect that will force him into a chase race. A different story however for the Russian, given that the latter, between the damage to the bodywork yesterday and the gearbox problem this morning, was unable to lap consistently and therefore create the right feeling with the car and track.

“In total I think I did ten laps on a track that I practically don't know,” said Nikita Mazepin. “The team did a great job to allow me to get on track during qualifying. They changed everything that could be changed in such a short time. I also have to thank Mick's team who gave us a hand this morning. Today we did a special team job, but qualifying was very difficult."

Here are Mick Schumacher's assessments: “Losail is a fun track and I enjoy driving on it. We knew it would be tough, but actually overall I feel quite satisfied. We maximized what we could achieve in terms of lap times, reaching our goal. At the end of Q1 there was a lot of traffic in the third sector, as everyone slowed down to get as much space as possible from the car in front, the team managed to manage this situation well. I'm happy about this."
