The second free practice session of the Qatar Grand Prix saw Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc set the tenth and thirteenth times respectively on a track, the Losail International Circuit, which continued to evolve as expected given the amount of sand found by the riders in the first of the two sessions.
51 rpm. Both started the session on Hard tyre, with which Charles clocked a 1'25”280. Carlos instead dropped to 1'24”914. In the second part of the session, Soft tires were then fitted with which both the Spaniard and the Monegasque improved: Sainz set a 1'24"033, while Leclerc achieved a 1'24"095.
