The Circus boss would like a GP in the center but for the promoter there would be several contrary opinions

Ecclestone: “The negotiation with Las Vegas? There are difficulties"

He had expressed the desire to bring F1 to the iconic Las Vegas, perhaps to replace the Nürburgring or Monza. As Bernie Ecclestone he immediately rolled up his sleeves to find an agreement.

But if until recently it even seemed that the second grand prix in the USA after Austin was a done deal, during the weekend in Russia the Supreme would have received a call from the promoter according to which the circuit in the city center would not be appreciated by many.

“In fact, some difficulties emerged – he confided to motorsport.com – Personally I would just like the race to take place around the Strip (hotel and casino area) in order to make the location immediately recognizable on TV”.

“Unfortunately we were unable to organize ourselves with New York, but we are in negotiations with various places” – remarked the Big Boss of the Circus, then closing with a jab at Italy.

“I don't know if we will go there in 2017. For now everything is quiet. We tried. Maybe we will have the answer on the Thursday before the race...".
