F1 | The organizers of the Hockenheim GP have ruled out a 2023 event

Germany has pulled out of the race for the calendar slot vacated by China. Interviewed by gpblog.com, the organizers of the Hockenheim Grand Prix have ruled out a commitment to Formula 1 as early as next year, specifying that the financial availability, combined with the many commitments expected in 2023, do not allow the system to put together a project of this type.

“We can confirm that at the moment there are no negotiations between us and Formula 1”, stated the organizers of the GP in Hockenheim, which has not been on the calendar since 2019. “Moreover, by virtue of the busy calendar for 2023 , it would be a great challenge for us to organize an event of this magnitude. We are not interested in organizing a spontaneous event, but we are nevertheless ready to bring Formula 1 to the Hockenheimring in the medium term."
