The new president of F1 Chase Carey present at the Singapore GP with Bernie Ecclestone
The two will talk about Formula 1 and Ecclestone's future...
The new and the old together in the splendid setting of Singapore. A sort of, better said a beginning, of handover between the F1 of today and that of the future. Chase carey, manager of Liberty Media and president in pectoris of Formula 1, will in fact attend the Singapore GP scheduled for this week.
Initially Bernie Ecclestone was not supposed to attend the race, to remain in London to work on the final details of the sale of F1 from CVC to the new owners Liberty Media. However, the now former president of the Circus probably had second thoughts, deciding to act as Cicero to the new president Carey. The two will thus be able to discuss the Formula 1 of the future and also the role of Ecclestone, who by contract should remain in the saddle for another three years. But Bernie's confirmation is not a given and a discussion of ideas with the new owners on the management of the Circus will first be needed.
