Mercedes, Wolff: “I don't aspire to replace Ecclestone”

In an interview given to some British media, Totò Wolff returned to talk about the possible succession of Bernie Eccelstone at the helm of the Formula One management, underlining for the umpteenth time how he is not interested in a role of this type. The current head of Mercedes has explained that he wants to continue his role in Stuttgart, therefore remaining in line with the statements made a few months ago together with Niki Lauda. A fairly legitimate choice considering the enormous results that Mercedes is achieving in the Circus and the many investments made during the past seasons.

Here are the words of Totò Wolff: “I am not interested in Bernie Eccelstone's succession at the helm of the FOM. I am happy with the results achieved at Mercedes and I prefer to maintain the role I have now. I am a working entrepreneur and I prefer to continue working in this field. In my life as a rider I have always aimed for victory, never settling and working as hard as I can for myself. In short, I don't like to depend on others. I prefer to stay where I am now."
