Interviewed by Mara Sangiorgio during the celebration of Pirelli's 150th anniversary, Mario Isola spoke about the development that the Italian company has carried out on the tires that will take to the track in the next 2022 Formula 1 world championship, underlining how the Abu Dhabi tests satisfied the the technicians maximum, both in terms of compound stability, which should help the riders to push at 100% for longer, and in terms of lap times.

Certainly interesting findings which give us hope for next year, although, obviously, the final balance will have to be drawn as soon as these tires are used with the 2022 concept (the teams used the 2019 cars to collect data on the 18″). As for the battles on the track, however, Mario Isola hopes to see more uncertainty, especially in the top areas of the standings.

Appointment on February 23-25 ​​for the first three days of pre-season in Barcelona. The teams will tour Barcelona to collect data and draw the first conclusions on the development carried out during the winter break.
