F1 | Vettel and the glass half full: "Disastrous start, but now we can only improve"

Despite the many problems that have emerged in Australia, Sebastian Vettel wants to look to the continuation of this 2022 Formula 1 season with optimism.

Interviewed by the press inside the Albert Park paddock, the former Ferrari analyzed the many "hiccups" that emerged in the last month and a half, specifying how these played a key role in the terrible results "achieved" by the team in the rounds of Sakhir, Jeddah and Melbourne (Aston Martin is the only team still with zero points). From now on, however, the situation can only improve and the German is ready to make the most of any updates that the technicians bring to the AMR22.

“I tried to get the best out of the car in Australia, but in hindsight I was probably pushing too hard,” said the four-time world champion. “The start of the season in general wasn't easy. I wasn't able to take part in the first two weekends of the championship due to the Coronavirus and also, here in Australia, I faced a series of problems that didn't allow me to shoot. In short, it can't get any worse than this. Precisely for this reason I am sure that from now on the situation will be better."
