F1 | Verstappen: “We lacked a bit of pace in Brazil, but I'm optimistic”

Despite the strength shown by Lewis Hamilton in the last Brazilian Grand Prix, the fourth to last round of the 2021 F1 world championship, Max Verstappen has not lost faith in the RB16B, specifying how the lack of "pace" highlighted at Interlagos will not be repeated in trio of races in the Middle East that will close this season.

Already from the next round in Qatar, Verstappen is confident that he will have a fast car in his hands, capable of playing its chances in the direct comparison with Mercedes. An important certificate of esteem which confirms how much the representative of the Austrian team believes in the possibility of winning the world title.

Max, remember, will show up at Losail with a 14 point advantage over the seven-time World Champion Englishman.

“We tried everything in the race and it was a good battle, but in the end we lacked a bit of pace,” said the Dutchman. “Overall I would call it a very fun race. In the standings we can still count on a good advantage and in Brazil we managed to limit the damage, grabbing the maximum possible points. I am sure that in the next races on the calendar we will return to expressing our potential."
