Ecclestone: “Countries don't want to spend on F1”
The circus boss is critical of the economic choices of some administrations
The situation of Formula 1 in Europe is increasingly critical with countries abandoning their races and administrations no longer able to spend the sums involved in having a grand prix.
This led to the recent situation of the Monza GP, but also to the doubts about the German GP and the farewell of the French GP.
A very clear situation a Bernie Ecclestone who, in a recent speech on Top Gear, told his point of view: "I'm really upset about two races that we lost, India and Turkey".
Confirmation is also in the balance for the English race: “Silverstone is not completely safe, on the contrary. These circuits don't need too much money to make them safe."
Then the attack on some choices: “It's disappointing to think that all these countries spend a lot of money trying to get the Olympics and don't come up with anything for F1. Despite the small sum they could spend on a Formula 1 race, they didn't want to do it."
