BayernLB rejects Ecclestone's €25m offer
BayernLB rejected the Formula 1 owner's offer
Although it was officially dismissed by the Court of Munich, the Gribkowsky case It doesn't seem to end here. The Court accepted Bernie Ecclestone's offer of around 74 million euros to definitively dismiss the corruption case which sees him accused linked to the sale of the commercial rights of Formula 1 from BayernLB to CVC, a company directly linked to the 84-year-old Patron of the Circus. Right at the German bank, MisterE., had offered a compensation of 25 million euro but BayernLB made it known that it had rejected the offer of the Formula 1 owner.
The news was released over the weekend, on the day the time allowed for Ecclestone to make the payments expired, but the reasons are not known: “BayernLB rejected the offer of Mr. Ecclestone's agreement,” the spokesperson confirmed to Reuters.
