F1 | Wurz: “The rivalry between Bottas and Hamilton will increase”

According to the former Formula 1 driver, Ferrari will have to work hard to reach the levels of Mercedes which is dominating this year after only five races held.

“Ferrari must scrupulously observe every detail, try every simulation, ask itself questions about the car and then answer them.” 

As for Mercedes, according to Alex Wurz the rivalry between Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas has already started to heat up:

“Valtteri can and must fight for the championship. Last year he had some mechanical misfortunes and wasn't very well established in the team yet, but he recovered in the winter and now drives with confidence."

This will only stimulate Hamilton even more:

“You can already notice the first small provocations -Wurz added- if Bottas is fast, Lewis reacts".

However, the atmosphere is not only heated at Mercedes. Even at Ferrari things don't seem so calm:

“It will be fascinating to see what happens. Leclerc made the most of his learning year at Sauber and coped well with the move to Ferrari, but now he has to get the best results, so there is a lot of pressure.", concluded the Austrian.
