Wurz searches for answers about Alonso's accident

The president of the GPDA, Alex Wurz, has written to all the Circus drivers to reassure them that the organization is carrying out all the necessary discussions to obtain more information on the accident involving Fernando Alonso during the second pre-test session seasonal on the Montmelò route.

According to Wurz, the Spaniard's accident was not caused by an electrical problem with the MP4/3O and that all aspects concerning the safety of the pilots were perfectly respected. The GPDA, for the good of the pilots but also of the entire system, will do its best to clarify all the doubts that still hover over this story today. Wurz also ruled out a possible driver protest during the Australian Grand Prix.

Here are the words of the Austrian pilot: “It will take some time to shed light on the entire incident and to implement the right changes so that such a case never happens again. The GPDA has not requested any official investigation and will not carry out any protests during the Australian GP, we only hope for clarity on the accident."

“People want answers, as they should, but it will take time to analyze what happened in a clear and unequivocal way. As far as we are concerned, we are fully available to collaborate with the Federation so that light can be shed on the entire episode" he concluded.
