Williams, Alex Wurz returns as mentor to Senna and Maldonado

Alex Wurz will return to the Williams F1 team as a mentor to Bruno Senna and Pastor Maldonado. The Grove team announced it today.

The Austrian drove for Williams during the 2007 season and will take up his new role from the Barcelona tests. Wurz will be present at this year's races and will work on the development of drivers Senna and Maldonado.

“This is a great initiative from Williams and is testament to the team's commitment to optimizing performance,” commented Wurz. “Throughout my sporting career, which started at the age of 12 with BMX and after over ten years in F1, I am still active (in the World Endurance Championship) and I am lucky to have gained so much experience. I enjoy helping athletes perform to the best of their ability. I look forward to helping Williams at this important stage in its history."
