F1 | McLaren, Stella: “We can still beat Red Bull”
The British team will bring the updates to the next GP in Miami
Fresh from second place in China with Lando Norris, the Woking team is confident in view of the next updates that will arrive for the Miami Grand Prix, scheduled for next week. McLaren is on track to give Red Bull a hard time and guaranteeing a competitive car to Lando Norris would be essential to keep him away from the attention of the Milton Keynes team.
“I believe we can still beat Red Bull this year. It seemed like we were losing ground because we were making so much money when Red Bull wasn't developing. Over a longer period, we are on a strong trajectory. If we continue like this for the next 12 months, why not?”, commented team principal Andrea Stella.
As mentioned before, it's no secret that Red Bull is interested in both Norris for the future:
“His dad always jokes that Lando won't win a grand prix until Max retires. I told him that he had to come to us, so he would definitely go faster,” joked Marko after the Shanghai GP.
