“This is a further step in the evolution of the structure of the Technical Office and the working model within the team  said Andrea Stella, McLaren team principal. Demonstrates a commitment to continually improve our technical capabilities and workflows for greater efficiency and effectiveness. Following thoughtful discussions between David Sanchez and team management, the mutual decision to part ways between the parties was made. After our reflection, it became apparent that the role, responsibilities and ambitions associated with David's position were not aligned with our original expectations when he agreed to join us in February 2023. Recognizing this misalignment, both David and I We agreed that it would be best to part ways now, so as to allow him to pursue other opportunities that will better leverage the full scope and breadth of his extraordinary skills. We greatly appreciate and gratefully appreciate the contributions David has made during his relatively short time with us, and wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
