F1 | McLaren, Brown confident: "We won't miss a beat"

The whirlwind of changes that Formula 1 has seen as protagonist in recent weeks has also "hit" the McLaren. The Woking team, which lost Andreas Seidl, who became the new CEO of Sauber, has decided to promote Andrea Stella as team principal starting from 2023.

A choice that does not change the objectives of the British team which, as underlined by Zak Brown, will continue on its own path without undergoing any downsizing.

“I don't think we'll miss a beat – declared Brown, interviewed by RacingNews365 – The teams are skilled at teamwork and should be superior to any individual. I think Andrea has a huge amount of experience and in many ways already leads the team. He manages the team during the race weekend. He is very respected by the riders, very practical, very technical. So I'm excited and I think Andrea will do a great job and I don't think we're weaker, we're just different."

Brown, speaking of Seidl, said: “He wanted to be CEO, at the time McLaren couldn't give him that opportunity. So it was more about an opportunity than a lack of space at McLaren."
