F1 | Barcelona, the new layout of Turn 10 has been approved

A week after the completion of the works, the FIA and FIM gave the approval for the approval of the new turn 10 of the Barcelona circuit, promoting with flying colors the "unique" layout launched for Formula 1 and MotoGP.

Thanks to inspections carried out over the last three days, Stuart Robertson (FIA Head of Circuit and Rally Safety) and Franco Uncini (FIM Safety Officer) have studied all the details of the new design of the “La Caixa” curve, issuing all the authorizations for the events that will be held next spring.

Important news which effectively "solves" one of the major problems faced by the Catalan circuit in the last three years. The "new" 10 will no longer present two different layouts, one narrower and one wider, but a single one for cars and motorbikes. As far as Formula 1 is concerned, the curve will require a high aerodynamic load set-up and will significantly increase the entry speed into the third sector, i.e. the one including the double chicane and the left turn towards the start/finish straight .
