Wurz is aiming for the role of third driver for Brawn GP

Alex Wurz is strongly convinced that he will be Brawn GP's reserve driver for the whole of 2009. At the beginning of the season there was a bit of confusion, because Brawn, being a team with an uncertain financial future, had made it clear that it could not afford the Austrian test driver as a third driver and that the latter could therefore be replaced by the former Super Aguri driver, Anthony Davidson, certainly a cheaper alternative for Ross Brawn's team.
Wurz told German newspaper Bild: "I'm the third driver and if one of the two official drivers couldn't drive for any reason, I would like to be the one to replace him. I'm a kind of link between the drivers and the team."
