F1 Tests 2018 | Super start for the Toro Rosso – Honda duo: 70 laps in the morning for Brendon Hartley
Promising start for the Scuderia di Faenza
Surprising start for Toro Rosso Honda on the first day of testing on the Barcelona track. Despite the initial premises and the pessimism of all those involved in the sector, Brendon Hartley managed to complete the morning session without any problems, scoring around fifty laps aboard the STR13. The New Zealander, according to what was reported by the Scuderia, completed the entire work program and in the afternoon he will focus on further data collection relating to power units and aerodynamics.

No search for time, of course, but the beginning can certainly be defined as encouraging. Honda, we remember, has worked closely with James Key's staff in recent months, looking for the best possible installation in terms of power and reliability. After the imposed one-hour break (red flag from 13.00pm to 14.00pm. Ed.), Hartley, barring sensational last-minute twists, will return to the track for the continuation of this first day pre-season tests at Montmelò.
