Formula 1 | 2021 regulations, Carey confirms: “There is a disagreement between the teams”

Interviewed by the transalpine newspaper La Presse, Chase Carey returned to the topic of 2021, underlining how the teams themselves are not on the same page regarding the technical regulations of the future. According to what was reported by the US Manager, in fact, some teams would be unhappy with the proposals put on the table by the Strategy Group, an aspect that would be significantly slowing down the definitive definition of the 2021 rules.

“We are carrying out negotiations,” Chase Carey told the French press. “There is still time for 2021 and therefore there is no urgency. We have laid the foundations for what we were looking for and a good number of things have already been cleared up, especially regarding the technical regulations.

That said, however, there are still some major disagreements between the teams, as each has a very different position on the topic. Obviously it is impossible to make everyone happy and it is likely that at the end of this process there will be more or less happy teams", he added. “The general idea is to find the best compromise”.
