Force India, di Resta: “Excellent result, shame about the rain”

He has something to be satisfied with Paul di Resta for the fifth place obtained in qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix. A result that highlights the progress of Force India and it gives the team hope Viaj Mallya.

“Fifth place on the grid is an excellent result – comments the British pilot -. At the beginning of the third tranche of qualifying I wanted to use the intermediates directly. It was a courageous decision and the team allowed me to move forward in that way, while the others chose dry tyres."

“I hoped it was the best opportunity for us to stay at the top of the grid and the choice paid off – explains di Resta -. It's a shame that the rain stopped us a little too early because there were only a couple of cars that were faster than us in the wet and were just ahead of us at the end of the session."

“The important thing is that we are in a good position for tomorrow and we are ready to fight”, he concludes.

However, he appears disappointed Adrian Sutil who fails to go beyond 12th place: “It's a shame, because I think we had the chance to do better in Q2”.

“I did my final flying lap a little too early and I also hit traffic, which made me lose time and that made the difference”, he comments bitterly.
