Cyril Abiteboul listed three aspects that influenced the reliability of Renault engines, which failed especially in the final part of the season.
“One: we were able to find ways to use certain parts, in order to generate performance, but they were subject to limitations and therefore generated reliability problems”, declared the CEO of Renault Sport in an interview given to Car Hebdo .
"Due: one of our customer teams, Toro Rosso, did not meet our cooling specifications, which is why they ran into several problems. Three: we encountered a quality problem at the level of external supply, again on the hybrid part", concluded Abiteboul.
