Cyril Abiteboul, former Renault F1, restarts from the WRC with Hyundai

Cyril Abiteboul is getting ever closer to a return to the world of motorsport that counts. The French manager should become, only the official announcement is awaited, the new team principal of Hyundai involved in the World Rally Championship. Abiteboul will replace Julien Moncet.

We remember that, in Formula 1, Abiteboul was head of Caterham until 2014 and recently of Renault until the name change to Alpine.

Rumors had recently come out regarding the South Korean company linked to a possible future entry into Formula 1, taking advantage of the new regulation on power units which will come into force starting from 2026. We remind you that at the moment there is already a new entry as an engine engineer in the Circus: the Audi, which has partnered with Sauber.
