“We need to address some key topics for the future,” Abiteboul said
In a chat given to Auto Motor Und Sport, Cyril Abiteboul spoke about the discussions relating to the 2021 regulations, underlining how Liberty Media and the teams still have to address extremely important topics regarding the future of Formula 1.
According to what was stated by the Renault team principal, in fact, the teams want to have clear ideas on the freezing and the type of petrol that will be used in the future, so as to structure the development in the correct way.
“We know exactly where we will be in 2021,” said the Renault team boss. “The problem lies in the fact that we need to address some key topics for the future. Which fuels should we use? What kind of freeze will there be? Total or partial? In our opinion these are topics that absolutely must be addressed."
