F1 | Renault, Abiteboul: “Liberty Media should change the race weekends”

With the advent of the American giant Liberty Medium at the helm of Formula One, many hope for changes that can bring benefits to this category. In the opinion of Cyril Abiteboul – CEO of Renault – the new owners of the Circus they should modify the race weekends, eliminating free practice on Friday.

"Liberty Media should be given a few months to better analyze the situation before being able to comment on this issue – Abiteboul's thoughts in an interview given to the French magazine Car Hebdo -  But overall the current format of the race weekend needs to change. I vFridays have no role in the overall balance of the weekends. We need to think about these things too, because there are ways to make Formula One more dynamic without spending money and without altering the structure of the teams".
