F1 | Mercedes, Bottas disappointed: "I had a clutch problem at the start"

Valtteri Bottas lost the race and the championship lead thanks to Lewis Hamilton's third victory of the season. The Finn had problems at the start, and for this reason he was unable to sprint properly. However, it was useful for the team to achieve their fifth consecutive double, leaving only crumbs for their opponents.

“At first I had a problem with the clutch – Bottas said – so my start was really poor, and that also means that all the hard work done over the weekend was immediately lost, but it happens. We are a strong team and will investigate the cause of the problem to ensure it never happens again. Personally it wasn't a great day, but from a team point of view it's a great weekend. Congratulations to Lewis for the win, he had a good race pace today. The team is performing very well, reaching incredible levels at the moment; both in Brackley and Brixworth, but not only: here on the track too! I can't wait to go to Monte Carlo, it's a unique track and there will be completely different challenges, so it's difficult to say who will be the strongest team on the narrow streets of the Principality."
