F1 | Franz Tost will not be a TV commentator: “I would be more extreme than Ralf Schumacher”

After eighteen seasons between Toro Rosso e AlphaTauri, Franz Toast will no longer be at the wall of the Scuderia owned by Red Bull, but that doesn't mean his adventure in formula 1 end here. In fact, interviews are scheduled in the next few days to remain in the large Austrian family as a consultant. In the meantime, the former team principal was asked if he had the idea of ​​becoming a TV commentator, but between the lines of Auto Bild came a sharp denial complete with motivation.

“The role of TV commentator is not for me – Tost admitted. I would have to make a lot of political statements and that doesn't sit well with me: many people wouldn't tolerate me if I told the whole truth, see Ralf Schumacher, someone who does it very well and is too direct. Well, for many I would be even more so. Future? I will talk to Red Bull on January 15th, after which we will see whether I continue working with them this year or not. Basically I will always be linked to the world of motors, so I see myself perfectly as a consultant."
