F1 | Alfa Romeo, Kimi Raikkonen: “We expected more”

This is his 323rd weekend in Formula 1, an absolute record, and who knows if this too, one day, will be equaled by one of today's young promises. Kimi Raikkonen continues to write history, both positive and negative, marking another low point in his career, especially when it comes to qualifying. While his teammate managed to get through to Q2 for the first time this year, the Finnish driver couldn't do much with his Alfa Romeo, stopping in nineteenth position. Behind him only the "substitute" Nico Hulkenberg, called at the last minute to replace an unwell Lance Stroll.

"I can't be happy with nineteenth position – commented Kimi pragmatically – we didn't have enough speed to do more in the three timed attempts: they weren't great laps, and there wasn't anything wrong with the feeling with the car, but we expected more. We have to do a better job tomorrow: we will try to make some changes and see how it goes".
