Sauber, Gutierrez: “I fought until the last lap”

The Abu Dhabi GP of Clean confirmed what his season was. Constantly far from the top ten, the Hinwil team actually ended with zero points for the first time in its history.

“I fought from start to finish and was able to maintain the aggressive two-stop strategy,” he declared Esteban Gutierrez 15th – In the last stint I tried to push and also to protect the tyres, which paid off in the end. “The start was good but Magnussen hit me and so I lost positions – he said Adrian Sutil, 16th – From that moment I just gave my all to get back into the race, however having moved to three pits I suffered. Overall I had no pace and any other result would have been difficult to achieve. A thought goes to the mechanics and technicians who worked hard on my car during the championship."
