Mercedes, Rosberg: “Hamilton will take to the track at Suzuka stronger than ever”

Despite the excellent lead of 23 points built with five races remaining in the season, Nico Rosberg certainly does not intend to rest on his laurels. The German, in fact, is firmly convinced that the engine failure, which occurred on the Mercedes number 44 during the 41st lap of the Malaysian Grand Prix, will not psychologically affect Lewis Hamilton in the remaining world championship events.

In fact, quite the opposite. According to Rosberg, from the disappointment of Sepang the reigning world champion will find the right mental push to restart in this final rush of 2016.

"In the past when Lewis has encountered difficulties, in the following event he took to the track more recharged than ever – commented Rosberg – I'm sure it will also happen here in Suzuka, one of the most beautiful and risky tracks in the championship".

"I'm sure the team will do everything possible to prevent that type of problem from happening again (caused by a failure of the bearing positioned between the connecting rod and the crankshaft, ed.). We arrived in Japan with some changes to make for this weekend. The road to the title is still long".
