D'Ambrosio: “It was a positive weekend and I'm happy about it”

The two Virgins managed to position themselves in front of the HRTs without too many problems, with some thrills at the start for Timo Glock.

Jerome D'Ambrosio, 21st: “It was a good race. I had a good start and a good first part of the race. I'm not sure we chose the best strategy, as I lost my position to Timo during the stop, which is a shame. But I got back behind him at the end, and we had a good fight, but he got ahead of him. It was a positive weekend and I'm happy about it."

Timo Glock, 20th: “I had a good start, I went to the outside and managed to catch Jerome in the first two corners, I almost hit Trulli. He pushed me out and I ended up on the grass and couldn't stay on the track, I lost position again and ended up behind Jerome. I got stuck behind him in the first stint and he destroyed my tires, and I was also a little bit faster than him. We stopped early, but the right rear tire wasn't working well and I lost four or five seconds, and Jerome was able to move away. The safety car came out and we changed the strategy to three pit stops and hard tyres. I managed to pass in front of Jerome, but in the end it was difficult with all the blue flags, I had some tough moments. However we got both cars to the finish line and got the best out of our cars. I can't wait to go to Korea, but we need to recheck the set-up of the car, because it was ok, but nothing magical."
