IMSA | Norris: “Daytona a good opportunity to learn from Alonso”

Daytona a gym for the future: Lando Norris, who at the end of the month will be involved in the famous endurance race of the championship IMSA, he is convinced that he can start learning from Fernando Alonso, teammate in the team United Autosports, some tricks of the trade. "It's a good opportunity to learn from Fernando" – declared the new European Formula 3 champion to the Spanish newspaper AS. “I want to try to see what I can learn from him every chance I get”. This, however, will not take anything away from it healthy competition which he intends to create with the two-time Spanish world champion: “Daytona is a team event, but obviously there is competition over who does the best job in practice and in the race” – admitted the 18-year-old Briton.

Norris will fill the role next year third driver in McLaren and, at the same time, he will take part with the Carlin team in the championship formula 2. On the last day of testing held at Daytona ahead of the 24 Hours, he paid only three tenths compared to Alonso.
