Formula E | Giovinazzi on the rookie tests in Marrakesh: “Never driven a car like this”

Antonio Giovinazzi smiles at the end of the Formula E rookie test held on the Marrakesh circuit. The third driver of Ferrari, Alfa Romeo Sauber and Haas, on board the DS Virgin DSV-03, took 7th place in the combined ranking which takes into consideration both the morning and afternoon sessions: the 24-year-old from Puglia, with a time of 1:20.876, had a gap of +1.225 from first place by Nico Müller, but preceded his teammate by +0.095 Joel Eriksson.

These are the words released by Giovinazzi, via the team's official website D.S. Virgin Racing, at the end of the test day: “I really enjoyed it. The car is very different from any other car that I have driven in the past: there is less aerodynamic load, and moreover you have to pay more attention to braking. It was a pleasant day”.

The other rookie linked to Formula 1, Paul DiResta, reserve pilot of the Williams, he placed with the Jaguar in 4th place (1:20.774), just over a second away from the top.
